Shawn Johnson Joins the Today Show for 2012 Summer Olympics
Olympic gold medal gymnast Shawn Johnson is adding to her resume. Johnson will join Matt Lauer, Savannah Guthrie, Al Roker, Natalie Morales and the rest of the Today show crew in London. Johnson will serve as a special correspondent for NBC’s TODAY.com.
“Participating in the Olympics holds such special memories for me. I am excited to return to the arena as a special correspondent for TODAY.com,” said Johnson. “TODAY has a huge online audience and I can’t wait to share the Olympic experience from an athlete’s point of view with all of them.”
Johnson will provide behind-the-scenes coverage through Twitter, Instagram, and other social media platforms. Shawn’s Twitter handle is @ShawnJohnson, she will be using the twitter hashtag #OlympicsTODAY during her reporting.
